He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
For though you might have forgotten God, He has not forgotten you. While you have busied yourselves with your daily occupations, He has still been occupied with you.
Little children, you cannot weary His love. You may grieve His heart, but His love is changeless, infinite. He longs for you to turn to Him. His hands are full of blessings that He desires to give you. He longs to hear your voice. You speak much with others – O speak to Him! He has so much to tell you.
Have you forgotten that He made you in His own image and likeness? It is not that He is as you, but you are like Him. Do not let material and physical elements destroy your comprehension of Him as a person.
“Touch Me and handle Me,” He told Thomas (John 20:27). To you He says: Cast yourself upon Him; pour your love out to Him. You will discover that He is as tangible to you as He was to Thomas. Reach forth your hand, and lay it upon His broken heart. Yes, take hold of His nail-pierced hand. Now, can you still doubt His love?
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
